Principles and practice of stem cell engineering and genetic engineering for biomedical applications. Foundations of stem cell biology (ESCs, iPSCs, adult stem cells) and developmental signaling; biomaterials and microenvironment design; genome engineering (nucleases, base and prime editing); gene delivery systems; engineered cells and tissues (organoids, microphysiological systems, immune-cell engineering); clinical translation of cell and genetic engineering technologies; cell and gene therapy manufacturing and process engineering; ethics, regulation, and policy.
